Visiting Walt Disney World Resort is a special occasion in and of itself - whether it’s your first or 15th visit. If you’re looking to make a trip even more magical, Disney offers a number of add-ons as part of its Enchanting Extras Collection. Selections from the exclusive list include special access tours, nature experiences, after-hours events and specialty dining. Last weekend, a pair of BIV clients were lucky enough to get last-minute reservations at one of the newest dining options, the Signature Celebration Package at Cinderella’s Royal Table which features exquisite dining, princess meet and greets, an exclusive fireworks viewing and a post-fireworks dessert party. We’re delighted to share their experience with you.
Cinderella’s Royal Table is one of the hardest restaurants for which to secure reservations - even at the 180-day booking window. It checks off a long list of must-do boxes for many Walt Disney World visitors: stepping inside Cinderella Castle which is adorned with stone archways, storybook flags and stunning stained glass windows overlooking Fantasyland; and meeting the iconic Cinderella and other beloved members of Disney royalty. Epicureans will appreciate that the food is high quality and that specialty wine cocktails, wine, champagne and beer are served - a rarity at Magic Kingdom.
Although Cinderella’s Royal Table is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Signature Celebration Package is only available during dinner. As of this blog post, dining times for the package are offered at 5:30, 6 and 6:30 pm.
Upon checking in, guests are greeted by none other than Cinderella AND Prince Charming; he doesn’t make appearances for regular dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table. After the photo op, guests are escorted to their tables and offered a complimentary sparkling wine or specialty cocktail. A robust menu of wine cocktails, champagnes and sparkling wines, red, white and rose wines, and beer are available for purchase. The meal kicks off with “appetizers of the court.” Diners can choose from soup of the day, charcuterie plate and seared scallops. The “entrees royale” include seared pork chop, beef or chicken bowl, beef tenderloin, roasted chicken breast and fish of the day. Vegetarians won’t leave hungry as they can select from a hearty salad, plant-based protein bowl and chickpea panisse.
While you eat, Jasmine, Snow White, Ariel, Aurora and Jasmine will stop by your table. Princesses other than Cinderella are subject to change.
Although dessert is not a featured course on the menu (see dessert party below), guests receive a precious box of chocolate truffles to enjoy. Other keepsakes include an enchanted wand for the princesses and sword for the princes along with a printed menu.
After dinner, guests are whisked away to a reserved viewing area to watch the Happily Ever After nighttime show at Magic Kingdom. Located at the most perfect spot in front of Cinderella Castle, guests enjoy unrivaled views of the fireworks and projections. And no crowds to fight!
If that weren’t enough, guests are then transported to a covered tent to enjoy an assortment of Cinderella-themed sweet treats, ice cream, cupcakes, cookies and chocolate-dipped strawberries. For adults 21 years of age and older, wines are also available during the dessert party.
The cost is currently $199 per adult plus tax and gratuity, and $169 per child (ages 3 and over) plus tax and gratuity. Disney Dining Plan credits cannot be used for the package. Theme park admission is required, just as it is for any dining reservation in the theme parks.
Is the package pricey? Absolutely. Is it worth it to meet classic Disney princesses, enjoy delicious food and impeccable service, watch Happily Ever After from the best spot in Magic Kingdom AND devour unlimited desserts - all in a few hours. Absolutely!
We can’t imagine a better way to end a night at Magic Kingdom or to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or special milestone!
